ABOUT US
Anderson Center for the Arts (ACA) is a BIPOC-founded and led non-profit arts organization located in East Harris County, Houston, Texas. Our cultural center serves as the premier destination for residents, artists, and tourists to experience rich arts and culture in the area. HCCAC works to expand arts access in underserved communities, amplify black voices, and level the playing field for black creatives through training and development, and residencies that include free studio space, and financial support.
Mission
The mission of Anderson Center for the Arts is to expand arts access to underserved communities and preserve, share, and celebrate the history and culture of Black people.

2) The arts serve as the driver for civic pride, community engagement, and positive social change.
3) The arts are valued and viewed as necessary to a better quality of life.
For The Organization
Anderson Center for the Arts is a leader in leveling the playing field for black creatives to successfully compete in Houston's billion dollar creative industry, and is a respected voice in the Houston arts community as well as other civic spheres.
Purpose
The purpose of Anderson Center for the Arts is to ensure that residents in East Harris County, Houston, Texas experience the social and economic benefits of living in a community with a vibrant arts culture and that black creatives have the resources, support, and opportunities they need to carry forward black narratives.
